Judging from the weather you’d be forgiven for thinking it was January. It’s only October and we are already enduring bitterly cold weather. In fact, we are currently experiencing some of the coldest nights in October for 17 years in some parts of the UK. Temperatures dropped as low as -5.2C in West Freugh in south-west Scotland, slightly below the previous record of -5.1C in 1993. If you think that’s cold, Sennybridge in south Wales saw temperatures dip to a biting -6.4C. These unreasonable conditions might make you wonder when we are going to catch a break. As Brits, we are forced to bear harsh and unpredictable weather all year round. I don’t know about you but it’s becoming intolerable.
