Cebu Is Favored By Expats
Cebu is an island and a province in the Philippines. Cebu Philippines has become a major tourist point rather than Manila. The Manila airport has tight security and is huge so many will elect to make Cebu their first stop in the Philippines as it is generally faster to get beyond security and immigration in Cebu. It isn’t a very large tropical island but it host the Philippines second largest and one of the more contemporary Cities in the Philippines.

Bantayan Island is my favorite place within Cebu. I strongly suggest you make a trip to this tropical island. Bantayan Island is in the Northern area of Cebu. In most instances you will discover few visiting Bantayan Island. Commonly, my girlfriend and I are the only two people on the beach! Except for the few fishermen and youngsters you’ll see. If it during the school year, you will come across children in their school uniforms going to and coming from school.
Quite a few areas of Cebu have rocky beaches but on Bantayan you will find white sand finer than sugar. You will not find water that is clearer though there is some sea weed that will be floating. You will need to watch were you are going. I’ve seen two or three sea urchins while swimming in the waters off the Bantayan coastline. I have not stepped on one but the stories I hear are of terrific pain that sometimes last for several weeks..
Close to Bantayan is Malapascua, a smaller tropical isle. It really is a diving meca. Divers from all over long to visit this isle. Quite a few visit the island to locate the thresher shark.
