Making Your Spa Holiday More Affordable
Spa holidays used to be enjoyed only by those who could afford it, which in general was the upper classes and those who were extremely well-off. With spas becoming far more popular and appearing in every greater numbers however, the prices have gone down and competition increases, making spa holidays far more accessible to people.
If you want to take advantage of this high level of competition, spend some time looking online and youre almost guaranteed to find suitable spa breaks. Whether youre after day spa or a full blown spa holiday, youll be able to find a cheaper option if you spend the time looking online.
If youre willing to travel in the off-season, you could save a considerable amount of money. The majority of spas will be less expensive in the winter than they are in the summer, although this will depend on the country, exact location and type of spa youre visiting. Do some research and have a look how much cheaper your holiday could be if you took it in the off-season; if youre happy with travelling during this period you should be able to take a budget spa holiday.
Generally, destination spas have a three-night-stay minimum, but the prices are usually much cheaper during the week. If you can make your holiday Monday to Thursday for example, your spa trip should cost considerably less than staying Thursday to Sunday.
If you are staying at a spa resort, you might find it a good idea to stay close by in a less expensive bed and breakfast or small hotel the night before your check in. This way youll have the whole day to enjoy luxurious therapies, massage and leisure activities. If youre going to be spending money on your spa holiday, you may as well get the most out of it.
With this in mind, you should try and remember that most of the toiletries, consumables, etc. are built into the price of your room; so if your accomodation features spa skin care products, you should just take them to enjoy at home.
