Spreading across 580,367km2, Kenya is one of the grandest tourism destinations in Africa. At times when tourism is at its peak, about 1.8 million foreign tourists visit yearly. Gazelles and hippos make up the wild there, besides the 135 bird species, which include millions of migratory lesser flamingoes that live on the algae of the 10m deep lake. Being a Ramsar site, one can learn about conservation.

Resting on the Indian Ocean waters, Mombasa is best-known for its sunshine, turquoise waters and sandy beaches. Its consistently warm weather throughout the year means, it may be visited at any time. For a historian Mombasa has Gedi ruins, Lamu ancient town and Fort Jesus, the sites which depict Mombasas rich ancient history. Run by Prosurf Kenya, Nyali is the complete Kite and Wind Surfing destination for an adrenaline freak. The undersea Indian Ocean coral reef paradise teems with unique beautiful fish breeds. Being the only park in this world bordering a city, the 117km2 Nairobi National park lies seven kilometers from the City Centre. From the Big Five wild animals, only the elephant misses from this Savannah ecosystem. It is the perfect place to hang out for tourists on stop over. It has the David Sheldrick trust sanctuary that cares for young orphaned rhinos and elephants. The park has about 400 diverse bird species and 80 mammal species. The park is perfect for weddings, outings, picnics, team management exercises and bush dinners. There are many Nairobi hotels from 2 star to 5 star plus cheap hostels that play host to guests from all over the world.

The Nairobi National Museum is equipped with eclectic ancient artefacts that visually describe Kenyas history. It has the botanic gardens where unique plant species like ornamental and medicinal plants and herbs are cultivated. But its main draw is the Nairobi Snake park home to vicious vipers like mambas and cobras, and merciless constrictors like African Rock python native to Kenya. Coral fishes, Crocodiles and American alligators are reared in the museums aquariums.
