July 30th, 2010

Nyhavn at night

British Airways, one of the UK's leading airlines, has announced that it is to further extend the number of routes from London City with the addition of a new service to Copenhagen. A popular destination among both business individuals and tourists seeking a pleasurable respite, the newly added BA service will increase the number of options already available for those flying to the Danish capital.

While a number of BA flights are already provided from London Heathrow, access directly from London City will provide business passengers a quick travel link between cities. Meanwhile for those looking to explore Denmark on holiday, the option of flying from within London's city centre will be an attractive option for individuals looking to spend as much of their vacation abroad as possible. The city of Copenhagen offers tourists a many shopping locations that offer a selection of modern, antique and hand crafted goods, as well as boat tours, internationally renowned museums and a vibrant nightlife. Copenhagen can cater to the needs of every traveller.

Flights to the city will depart twice a day throughout the week, with weekend services providing one outgoing flight on Saturdays with a returning flight on the Sunday. Utilising the newest aircraft to its fleet, the Embraer 190, BA will continue to operate its London Heathrow service to Copenhagen as usual. However, with a recent announcement revealing a new service to Gothenburg, London City looks set to rival London Heathrow as city dwellers look for the quickest and simplest option out of the British capital.
