Jet2 Increases Portfolio of New Flights

Jet2 has revealed that they are to increase their portfolio of routes for the summer 2011 schedule, offering five additional services from Newcastle. Already announcing a new French flight earlier this year, the move will make the airline the largest international flyer from Newcastle Airport.



Offering a host of new opportunities for those living in and around Newcastle, Jet2 has already increased their 2011 summer service by offering flights to Toulouse from May 16th until September 4th. Operating a Sunday return flight only, the service allows quick access to the Midi-Pyrenees providing holidaymakers with an instant break into some beautiful scenery and French flavour. Meanwhile Jet2 has announced that for 2011's summer season, plans exist to increase the services from Newcastle by at least five destinations, including services to Alicante, Krakow, Prague and Faro. Beginning on April 1st and 2nd, flights to Alicante and Faro will begin respectively while services to Poland's Krakow will start on March 28th. Meanwhile Jet2's service to Prague will begin on November 5th 2010, carrying through until October of next year.

Such a move follows recent activity at Jet2's operations at both Manchester and Leeds Bradford Airport in a bid to raise their profile and the offerings they provide. Forty routes already exist from Leeds Bradford with Manchester being their second largest hub and following the additions to their Newcastle services Jet2 looks set to continue providing a wealth of travel options for both business and holiday customer.
